Live Oak Plantation’s Eclipse Award winner World Approval added to his trophy case on March 12 when the homebred was named Florida-bred 2017 Horse of the Year at the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association annual Awards Banquet and Gala.
World Approval was also named the Florida-bred Champion Older Male, Florida-bred Champion Turf Horse and Florida-bred Champion Male Sprinter.
Live Oak was also named Florida Owner of the Year, while World Approval’s dam, Win Approval, was named broodmare of the year.
Win Approval, also bred by Live Oak, has produced 10 foals, eight winners, four graded stakes-winning millionaires and two Eclipse Award winners (Miesque’s Approval and World Approval).
Wrapping up the huge night for the farm, Live Oak Stud was named Florida Breeder of the Year.
